Acadia’s Office of Industry & Community Engagement (ICE), identifies and connects Acadia’s researchers with industry, government and community groups interested in research, commercialization and outreach activities.

The office serves as a primary point of contact between external organizations and internal staff and facilities. We can help assess your needs and identify appropriate expertise on campus or within another research institution. As a member of Springboard Atlantic, ICE works and collaborates with other universities and colleges in Atlantic Canada to ensure a strong contribution to the development, sustainability and prosperity of our local and regional communities.

Acadia’s emphasis on fostering industry-related research collaborations helps ensure that the research undertaken at Acadia remains relevant to the rapidly changing needs of industry, while helping Acadia fulfill its service mission by generating financial, economic, academic and societal benefits for our local and regional community.

Acadia researchers have a long history of engaging with industry on a wide variety of research projects.  Indeed, in the last decade, Acadia researchers have worked with hundreds of external partners for research projects ranging from large multi-partner collaborations to medium sized projects, to small consulting projects. We will also help identify appropriate funding opportunities for research collaborations and any other types of partnering initiatives.
